about
Breath Of Infinite Peacefulness was recorded in the summer of 2017 in an old trailer on a beautiful flower farm called Flora Lora (Prince Edward County ON). There were mice and snakes living in the old thing that I transformed into a temporary recording space. It was in this space that I recorded all the drums to Spill Kid and also where I began sketches on songs that would make it onto Lando. It got so hot in the trailer that a lot drums ended up being recorded outside in the elements, with the xlr cables winding back into the 4 track that was being housed inside onto of the defunct stove. (Thanks Callum Gaudet for lending me the four track for so many years!) Breath of Infinite Peacefulness was used in a Halifax based show called What The Farm for which I was hired to soundtrack.
You can hear bugs and wildlife humming in the background mixed in with the warm tape hiss and I’m comforted by the memories of warmth, friendship, and simplicity of summer on the farm. Let your nervous systems rest sweet friends, thanks for being here.
